Logical Buildings is proud to announce our selection into The Clean Fight’s Energy Storage Deployment Accelerator — a high-impact program advancing energy storage solutions across New York State. This milestone represents an important step forward in our mission to be a leader in high ROI building decarbonization.

Unlocking Value Through Intelligent Electricity Use

The Clean Fight’s latest cohort includes nine companies reshaping how energy is measured, stored, controlled, and monetized in the built environment. Logical Buildings was selected for our Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platform, which turns multifamily and commercial buildings into flexible grid assets using real-time data, demand response capabilities, and on-site storage.

By joining this program, Logical Buildings will receive:

  • Up to $100,000 in grant funding for New York-based demonstration projects

  • Technical guidance from NY-BEST and New Energy New York (NENY) experts

  • Strategic support to scale our platform through partnerships with customer collaborators like The New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), Fairstead, Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC), among others

We’re focused on deploying solutions that deliver both environmental impact and economic returns, unlocking clean energy access for properties of all sizes.

Navigating the Emerging “Electron Economy”

One key aspect of building decarbonization is electrification. As buildings electrify systems like transportation (EV charging), space heating, hot water, and cooking, they will progressively eliminate reliance on oil and natural gas—driving long-term reductions in Scope 1 carbon emissions.

Every building should approach electrification at a pace that aligns with its operational and financial realities—often coinciding with the natural replacement cycle of fossil fuel equipment.

However, more electricity usage must be paired with smarter electricity usage to ensure decarbonization delivers a great return on investment.

Smart electricity usage means strategic technology decisions and training in areas such as:

  • Metering configuration, rates, tariffs and purchasing

  • Connectivity, controls and automation

  • Grid services revenue integration (summer and winter)

  • On site generation and STORAGE

Done right, this approach not only cuts emissions—it enhances resilience and unlocks new revenue streams in the Electron Economy.

GridRewards + Advanced Metering = A Stronger, Smarter Grid

GridRewards, our award-winning app, already empowers tens of thousands of New Yorkers to earn cash for reducing energy at key times. Now, with the rise of behind-the-meter storage, our platform can take even greater action — reducing peak demand, flattening load curves, and enhancing energy resiliency across our client portfolios.

This dual approach — combining behavioral energy use with automated grid responsive battery assets — gives buildings a complete solution for reducing emissions, cutting energy costs, and earning grid services revenue.

A Collective Push Toward Decarbonization

Joining The Clean Fight cohort strengthens our ability to scale this impact across New York and beyond. We’re proud to collaborate with leading customer partners as well as a powerful network of developers, investors, and policy leaders focused on a resilient, low-carbon future.

Our goal is simple: make the economics of electrification work — for large-scale commercial buildings, small multifamily properties, and the residents who live and work in them.
